Carbon Conversations is a unique and inspiring series of 6 group discussions, which the Guardian newspaper recently cited as one of the top solutions to climate change. The sessions involve group activities, knowledge-building, idea-sharing and reflections, where participants will have the opportunity to explore climate change both practically and emotionally.
Transition are running Carbon Conversations sessions for staff and students for a discounted rate (including six weekly facilitated sessions, course materials and a detailed carbon conversations workbook) of £10 for students and £15 for staff.
Our next round of sessions will begin straight after the Easter break. The classes will run:
- Wednesdays 5.15-7.15pm (starting Wed 11th April for 5 weeks)
- Fridays 2-4pm (starting Friday 13th April for 5 weeks)
Sign up for the courses on the University’s PDMS system by selecting your ‘Audience’ at the top right.
We now have 65 participants who have completed the course over the last six months, and have asked a few of them for some feedback on the course.
‘It was nice and relaxing to have the time for this set aside, because even if I’m aware of it in my normal life I wouldn’t normally go and reflect on it’
‘To have people who come down just to discuss things was really reassuring’
‘I learned a lot but also really enjoyed the chance to meet new people from other courses and parts of the University and have tea and biscuits!’
