Community Garden

Interested in learning about gardening and growing your own veg?

The University Community Gardens are the place to be and  there are weekly gardening sessions as well as Gardening Workshops running during term- time.

We have two Student-run gardens, which are open to staff/students and residents of St Andrews:

1. Community Garden at the Observatory, Buchannon Gardens (next to DRA) (map)
2. Albany Park Community Garden (map)

Garden Sessions for both Gardens are: Wednesday’s and Sunday’s 2-4pm (during term-time).

The aim of the garden is to have a space for all those interested in learning to garden (or increase their skills) to come together and learn from each other.  Everyone who volunteers has a different background, from absolute beginners to those that have been gardening for decades.

To find out more, check out the Community Garden Facebook page or the Albany Park Garden Facebook page or email transition@st-andrews.ac.uk

We are also looking for people to come along on and volunteer in the garden, and also some people to help us lead sessions – so if you have previous experience of working in gardens please get in touch!
